Bio:

Torweego was born within a large and turbulent tribe of gnolls living in the foothills north of the Nentir Vale. Of Torweego’s litter, he was easily the smallest. This brought shame to his father, one of the larger and more respected sires in the tribe.

This strife, coupled with the population problem, isolated Torweego. Lacking any peers or mentors, Torweego relied on natural guiles and scrappy determination to survive.

Some notice was taken by a tribe Raid Captain, Yeerowak, of Torweego’s talents. He was brought on various smaller raids and trained to execute quick and efficient ambushes.

Torweego may have gone on to become a fearsome raider, but intra-tribal conflict finally came to a head. Of three increasingly hostile factions, two began open battle with each other, while the third fled into the mountains.

The faction loyal to the ancestral chieftain easily gained the upper hand in the conflict, and drove the rebellious groups of raiders and hunting parties completely out of the tribal lands.

Torweego, aligned with the raiding parties through affiliation, was captured after falling victim to a desperate act of treachery amongst his own party.

Facing execution, Torweego was able to overpower an unwary guard and narrowly escape, being injured in the process.

Torweego succumbed to his wounds somewhere in the rocky crags of the Dawnforge Mountains.

He awoke to the harsh questions of two human rangers. These were scouts gathering intelligence on his tribe, and were determined to wring answers from him. Torweego made to escape, but in the frantic attempt, the group was set upon by hill giants. Torweego earned the rangers respect in the conflict after making a decisive kill.

They traveled together for a while, Torweego trading tribe intelligence for knowledge of the civilized world, including the religious teachings of the rangers, who worshiped Sehanine.

Torweego parted ways with the rangers when the time came for them to return from their assignment. He set off for Fallcrest, in hope of building a new future from the alluring fortunes of adventure.
